The historic drought of 2021 reduced yields in vineyards around California. We ended up with only a fraction of our expected fruit, but what we received was exceptional. Tiny concentrated berries with full flavor created three barrels of really beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon. We blended these together and produced 100% Cabernet Sauvignon for the first time in several years. The resulting wine shows classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics with herbal notes, hints of cocoa, and elderberry. On the palate it is blackberry, firm tannins, and balanced acidity.
