Rancho Baila Sol is a head-trained vineyard in coastal Ventura County that we planted and have farmed since the beginning. Primarily Grenache, but interplanted with multiple other varieties this vintage was blended with 15% Graciano to complement the earthy rustic notes of this vineyard. This wine is fruit forward and muscular with lavender, pepper, boysenberry, and crushed strawberry. 94 Points, Wine Enthusiast; 91 Points, International Wine Report
This blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Graciano reveals much potential for this corner of Ventura County. Clean lines of boysenberry, lavender and pepper are undercut by a streak of stone on the nose. The medium bodied palate is very textural and full of juicy berry and spicy cracked pepper flavors, culminating in a candied finish.
