Our homage to Spain's beloved grape, Tempranillo. Tempranillo lives somewhere between the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the elegance of Pinot Noir. This vintage is blended from Tempranillo sourced from two vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley and picked at the peak of ripeness in early November. Aged for two years in 25% new American oak barrels. Blended with 2% Alicante Bouschet for aromatics and 1% Petit Verdot for structure. Black plum, cocoa, cedar, and firm tannins with a balanced acid profile that makes it perfect for pairing with barbecue, tapas, or enjoying on its own. 91 points, Wine Enthusiast
Smashed-up black plums are dusted with dark-cocoa spice on the nose of this bottling, which includes 5% Alicante Bouschet. Warm cocoa and coffee flavors lead into fruity boysenberry notes on the palate, as chalky tannins carry into a caramelized finish.
